Artist Spotlight: Kipper Eldridge

There Is A Dream was the first track that I recorded after 3-4 years of experimenting and evolving to a place where I felt completely at ease with the idea of actually bringing my music to the wider world. Having secured the absurdly brilliant talents of the likes of Pino Palladino, Robbie McIntosh & Jeremy Stacey, working again with long time collaborators Roberto Manzin & Spencer Cozens, to all come together for an inspiring day at the old Sphere Studios in Battersea, London, there was something that I felt needed binding together.

Kipper Eldridge has always been very high on my list of artists that I wanted to collaborate with. His work as producer and keyboards with Sting had a huge effect on me and just felt like this track needed that same kind of underpinning.

What Kipper did was at a level I could never have imagined. His vision to create this stunning underbelly of textures that just allowed the rest of the band to sit on, was beautiful. There are very few artists that can have that kind of understanding and awareness of what is needed, without becoming the story itself.

Kipper also went on to work with us on Dance The Rain.
